Sarah is a maker, a mother and photographic artist living in the fishing town of Leigh-on-sea, Essex.

As an artist she finds her focus in the quiet magnificence of motherhood and the intricate simplicities of children at play.

Sarah explores the slow intimacy and intensity of the mother and child bond. The fragility and duality of matrescence. Depicting in her work the emotion, gentleness and erring power of mothering.

Through her depiction of childhood, Sarah leans in to the fantasy of recreation. Witnessing from the outskirts the world of imagination and the poetry of play.
